After nearly eight years teaching in a fitness facility, I am happy to announce we are moving into our very own stand alone martial arts school to accommodate the growing demand for our adults only martial arts classes!
Beginning November 4th, 2008, we will be teaching at our new location:

Our new martial arts school (photos) is right between the Burt Brothers Goodyear Tires and Rutted Hair Salon on Highland Blvd. Simply turn into the parking lot for Rutted Hair Salon and go down the hill and we’re on the right.
The new martial arts school is MUCH larger than our last facility and is being completely remodeled. We will have all new flooring, mirrors, training equipment, bags, and more to help everyone get the most out of their martial arts training.
My mission has always been to make sure my students get the time and attention they need to really learn the art of KENPO. It is a promise I made to my existing students long ago and one I will keep to my future students.
I really want to keep that personal connection; where myself and my instructors know everyone’s name and face and know precisely where everyone stands in terms of their personal development. I never want my students to get lost in the shuffle; which is why we will still limit our class sizes even though we have a lot more space.
Between our new location, revised schedule, more training space, and over 10 instructors and assistant instructors ready to teach, we will be opening up enrollment into our martial arts school in the next few weeks on a limited basis.
For all those on our waiting list, we will be sending out in the near future a notice about our next trial program. Be sure to sign up for our free trial program if you haven’t already to make sure you know when we have openings.

Just having a place of our own without distractions would be great, but Mr. Wheaton found an incredible place that he is fixing up the way he wants it, and anyone who knows Mr. Wheaton, knows that it will be done right!

The studio is awesome and I can’t wait for the doors to open!! This place is perfect and will enable us to focus on the students without any other distractions. Mr Wheaton has laid out an excellent floor plan and we will have plenty of room. It has been nice to see those of you that have come to help us get it ready. It’s been so much fun to watch the progression of the new studio renovation, watching Mr. Wheaton’s vision for the place pan out. I agree with Mr. Thomsen. Having put my sweat into the new studio has connected me with it more strongly and made it MY new studio. I’m so excited to start participating in the classes there, and I know I’m not the only one. The atmosphere of AMAS is already charging up getting ready for the move. Good things on the horizon! Thanks, Mr. Wheaton and the other AMAS instructors, for taking this leap!
